How to use chilli oil?

Growing up we had staple items in our household, whilst most Australian’s had Rosella tomato sauce, we had our homemade chili oil, oh yes mums special recipe and I would put it on everything! How fortunate my childhood was to be introduced to such an amazing culture of food and just when you think the ABCs (Australian Born Chinese) cannot integrate their culinary flavours, there we were as kids, mixing mums chili oil with Rosella tomato sauce. Enjoy!

Chili oil is a condiment made by infusing oil with chili peppers. It is a popular ingredient in many cuisines, including Chinese, Korean, and Thai. The heat level of chili oil can vary depending on the type and amount of chili peppers used.

Chili oil can be used as a dipping sauce for dumplings, noodles, and other dishes. It can also be added to stir-fries, soups, and marinades to add heat and flavour. Some people even use it as a topping for pizza or popcorn.

In addition to chili peppers and oil, chili oil may also contain other ingredients such as garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Homemade is always the best option. Chili oil is a versatile condiment that can be served in many ways. Here are some ideas:
